Gordon River Greenway Preserve
Baker Park and the Gordon River Greenway offer one of the most enjoyable outdoor experiences for animal lovers visiting Naples. Together, these connected parks provide miles of paved pathways, scenic boardwalks, and beautiful natural surroundings that are perfect for a leisurely walk with your dog.
The Gordon River Greenway spans approximately 140 acres and winds through mangrove forests, native Florida landscapes, and peaceful waterways. Along the route, visitors can enjoy views of local wildlife, shaded resting areas, and a variety of natural habitats that showcase the beauty of Southwest Florida. The elevated boardwalk sections are especially popular, offering unique views over the mangroves and river.
Because much of the trail features shaded sections, it can be a comfortable option for walking dogs even during warmer months. Water stations are located throughout the preserve, helping both humans and their furry companions stay hydrated during longer walks. Bringing a collapsible water bowl is still a good idea, especially during the summer season.
Dogs are welcome throughout the park and greenway but must remain on a leash at all times. Whether you’re looking for a short stroll or a longer outdoor adventure, Baker Park and the Gordon River Greenway provide a peaceful escape where you and your furry companion can enjoy nature together without leaving Naples.
