4 Things to Do and See at Lee County’s Manatee Park

Looking for a great way to spend a day in Lee County? Come to the beautiful Manatee Park and spend an unforgettable day with the manatees. Visitors young and old are going to love this experience and have a day that they will remember forever. Below are some of the things that you can do when you are visiting this popular park.

1. View Manatees

View the majestic and beautiful endangered manatees as they are swimming along in the natural habitat. For the best experience, come between December and February.

2. Go Kayaking

If you want to do more than simply view the manatees, it’s possible to paddle a kayak by their side. You can rent canoes or kayaks from the gift shop so that you’re enhancing your experience with the manatees.

3. Stroll Through the Gardens

While you’re visiting the manatee park, be sure to take some time to stroll through the beautiful gardens. Here you will view gorgeous butterflies and native plants. Found on Florida Power & Light Discharge Canal’s 350 feet, you’ll find a lot of beautiful natural wonders around.

4. Check Out the Fishing Pier

Once you have viewed everything at the park, go fishing at the pier on the beautiful Orange River. You may just come home with a trophy and some fresh fish for dinner.
