Naples, FL Post Hurricane Ian Updates 2-13-2023
Beach Access Updates
After Hurricane Ian, many are wondering what’s the status of beaches in Naples, FL. With the anticipation of beach re-openings, we wanted to keep you in the loop and up-to-date. There are a few things to keep in mind:
- Be very careful walking in the sand with bare feet, the city of Naples has done a great job on all the open beaches clearing debris but the water can still have debris in it washing up onshore
- Some of the items in the sand might be very small and although the sand is being hand-cleaned, things can be missed
- The water has been tested regularly for bacteria and the beaches that are open have water that is safe but it’s recommended to use caution, especially with wounds and cuts
- Enjoy Naples beaches and sunsets just always be cautious and protect yourself
