Best Times to Visit Naples Florida – Weather, Price, Crowds

The best time to visit Naples is between March and May. Average temperatures are between 70s – 80s, which is ideal weather for going to the beach, shopping outdoors or golfing. On a financial note, if you visit between these months, you’ll dodge the winter price increases. Despite the price spikes, December – February is peak season thanks to high average temperatures when compared to the rest of the United Sates.
Summer, while hotter but cheaper, is still a busy time thanks in part to school being out. But for some the high humidity and temperature can feel uncomfortable. But if its tolerable for your family you will find wide-open beaches and accommodation rates far below the average cost of peak season. September – October features a brief decline in rates and crowds but it can still feel like summer.

Weather

So, in regards to what time of year is the best time of year to come, the answer to that is actually simple: any time of year is a great time to come to Naples!

With bright, warm summers and mild winters that rarely dip below 50 degrees, it’s no wonder Naples is considered a lovely year-round destination. With so much to do and see, it can be hard to narrow down the best time to visit. However, with our handy guide, you’ll be able to figure out the ideal time to take a trip to Naples-on-the-Gulf!
SUMMER
However, be warned that it is much hotter than the rest of the country, with temperatures reaching as high as 110 degrees occasionally, with the normal temperatures between 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
WINTER
If you want a vacation that will help you escape the bitter winters in your locale, don’t mind crowds or traffic, and want to experience the locations you visit in their peak seasons, then come to Naples during the winter. With temperatures in the 70s and 80s, with very sunny days, no rain and most importantly, no snow!
RAINFALL
During the summer, the Western Everglades experiences its much needed wet season, which means that heavier, daily rains become more frequent. Sometimes, these rains can last the entire day, half a day, or a few hours, which could be a bit disruptive to your beach time and outdoor activity plans. However, if you don’t mind working around the rain and the very warm weather, Naples is still a great place to visit during the summer.

Prices & Crowds

Like most popular vacation spots, Naples is very seasonal; our peak season is winter, which runs from October to May. Our slow season is summer, which runs from June to September. The weather in Naples is beautiful all year long, however there are reasons why our peak season exists and our slow season does.
SUMMER
If you don’t mind warmer than usual weather, lots of rain, or don’t want to be in a place with lots of traffic and people, then come to Naples during the summer. Naples during the summer is a great choice if you want a great summering destination with great beaches and outstanding outdoor activities, yet you want to avoid the crowds and hustle and bustle of peak season. However, the volume of people in the peak season versus the slow season is noticeable.
WINTER
Naples is often seen as a destination to escape the harsh winters, because our temperatures are normally in the 70s and 80s, with lows occasionally dipping below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. For this reason, we see more tourists during the colder months of year.
Naples has built this reputation as a wintering destination for decades, so as a result, more businesses tend to keep longer hours, or strictly open during the peak season.
There are also more people on the roads, and more crowds in the busy areas, however the volume of people still isn’t to the degree you see in major urban escape destinations like New York City or Boston. This is changing however, because more and more people are realizing that Naples is a great place to visit all year round.

Conclusion

Naples is a great place to visit all year long, it just depends on you and your party on how long you wish to stay, and when you decide to come. Who knows, you may like your stay so much during the winter at your vacation rental with Naples Florida Vacation Homes, that you might just consider coming back during the summer! Either way, we will be ready to take your reservation and help you get the vacation rental of your dreams!
