Dining in Naples: 3 Must-Try Spots on Your Vacation

Beautiful beaches and warm, tropical weather aren’t the only things to enjoy in Naples. It’s a haven for fine dining and features an array of options certain to please any palate. While there are many inventive and delectable choices, these Old Naples restaurants are three musts for the food-loving traveler.

1. The Turtle Club at Vanderbilt Beach

Location: 9225 Gulfshore Drive N.
Hours: 11am to 2:30pm, 5pm to 9pm daily
If you think that a beachside sunset view and beautifully appointed surroundings make for the perfect  dinner atmosphere you are correct. But even with relaxing beauty all around, the food is the star of this show. Amazingly fresh seafood from the Gulf and center cut beef that’s meticulously aged provide the backbone of this thoughtful menu. The Individual Chilled Seafood Plateau is a beautiful exploration of oysters, shrimp, blue crab claws, and ceviche. The Petite Filet features an accompaniment of the famous Oysters Turtlefeller, showcasing why this restaurant is a favorite.

2. Trulucks

Location: 698 4th
Hours: 5 to 10pm daily
No trip to Naples would be complete without a visit to the much-hailed Trulucks. From the world-class service to the outstanding assortment of wines, there are many reasons this is the perfect spot for a special occasion. The blue crab claws are front and center, regarded as the must-order dish. There’s no way to go wrong with a seafood dish from this menu, and the lobster bisque and shrimp are raved about by diners from across the country. If seafood isn’t your thing try the ribeye and make sure you spring for the Pontchartrain – Lightly blackened with crawfish, shrimp and blue crab in a piquant Creole cream. Make sure you leave room for some of their outstanding dessert selections.

3. Chops City Grill

Location: 837 5th Ave. S
Hours: 5 to 11pm daily
Ask anyone and they’ll tell you nothing compares to the dry-aged perfection of the steaks served by Chops. Try the beef Carpaccio to start, and enjoy the main event of one of the premium cuts of beef. The braised short ribs are a surefire hit, while the filet of beef three ways is perfect for indecisive diners. Choose from eighteen – yes, you read that correctly – sides, ranging from parmesan truffle fries to roasted butternut squash. Chops has an amazingly varied selection of wines, making it easy to find the ideal accompaniment to your meal. You’re certain to leave satisfied (and stuffed).
