Typical Weather in Naples Florida in January

Around the US, we are in the midst of fall, and soon winter will be here. For those of you living up north, or in a colder part of the world other than Florida, you are probably wondering: what is the weather going to be like this January in Naples, FL?

Well, we got good news for you: the weather is going to be wonderful this January!

Average January Temperatures in Naples

Generally speaking, Florida has much warmer weather than the rest of the US, and most colder locations in the world. Here in Southwest Florida, where Naples is located, our temperatures normally lie between 78 degrees Fahrenheit to as low as 50 degrees Fahrenheit in January.
Typically during the wintertime, we get light wind, and a change in cooler temperatures in exchange for warmer ones. The sun is still shining every day; there’s no wind chill, no snow, and no ice, except for the occasional frost, which won’t affect you but does cause some trouble for the citrus industry.
Sometimes the temperature drops lower than this, but that is very rare.
Average Temperatures in Naples FL
There are some numbers regarding what the temperatures are going to be like in Naples this January. According to the Weather Channel, average temperatures in January will be between 75 degrees Fahrenheit to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
This is rather warm for us, but for those of you coming from a location where the temperatures in January normally reach between -18 degrees Fahrenheit to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, with lots of snow, ice, and rain, you will appreciate this.
It will drop lower in temperature in the evenings in Naples during the month of January though. However, this will still be warmer, between 53 degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
So, is this enough to convince you why you should come to Naples in January? Well, if this has been enough, you are probably curious of what you need to pack?

What to Pack for Naples

Well, bring a light jacket, like a windbreaker, or a good sweater to wear at night. During the day, you won’t need your windbreakers or sweaters, so pack like you would for a late summer or late spring trip. That means, sundresses for the ladies, sports shirts for the men, shorts for both men and women, pants made of light materials like linen or cotton, skirts made out of light materials like cotton or linen for the women, hats, sunscreen and maybe parasols.
You can definitely visit the beach during your stay to Naples, so pack what you need so that you can go to the beach.

Golfing and Tennis

If anyone in your party loves to golf or play tennis, be sure to take your golfing or tennis equipment with you. Don’t leave your pets in the kennel either; Naples is a very pet-friendly place, and the weather is so nice that you can take them to dog parks and other places outdoor with you while you visit.
We hope to see you in January!
