Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens
If you enjoy animals or are traveling with kids who do, this is a really nice place to spend a few hours. The Naples Zoo offers a more interactive experience than a typical zoo, in a setting that feels relaxed and close to nature.
Located within a tropical garden, the space is full of greenery, shaded paths, and interesting stops along the way. One of the most memorable experiences is the giraffe feeding area, where it is possible to stand very close and feed them by hand—something that tends to be a highlight for both children and adults.
There is also the option to take a short boat ride around small islands where monkeys and lemurs live in natural-style environments. Throughout the zoo, you can see animals such as alligators, Florida panthers, cheetahs, and black bears, often from a very close distance.
During the day, short talks and small presentations take place, giving a bit more insight into the animals and conservation efforts without feeling too formal. A typical visit lasts around 2–3 hours, and thanks to the shaded areas, it’s a comfortable option even on warmer days.
It’s a simple and enjoyable outing, especially if you’re looking for something a bit different from the beach while still staying close to nature.
