Boston Red Sox Spring Training: JetBlue Park

Are you a Boston Red Sox fan? Do you have big dreams of taking in a few spring training games this year? If so, you’ll want to learn more about Fort Myers, Florida, as this is where the club has trained since 1993. While there’s nothing better than the opportunity to watch the Red Sox train for the upcoming season, there are many features and amenities that are sure to put a smile on your face.
It all starts with JetBlue Park, where the Red Sox play all of its home spring training games. Some key features of the park include:

  • Opened in 2012, making it one of the most modern in the league
  • Capacity of 10,823, which is plenty big enough to accommodate spring training crowds
  • A 37′ high replica of Fenway Park’s Green Monster in left field, making players and fans alike feel at home

These features give you a better idea of what to expect at JetBlue Park, but you can’t understand it’s true beauty until you experience it in person.

Access, Location, and Parking

Unlike many MLB stadiums, JetBlue Park has plenty of green space to move around. This makes for an enjoyable experience for those who are interested as much in the atmosphere as they are the game itself.
With berm seating, it seats 11,000 – larger than City of Palms Park, to be sure. It’s partially based on Fenway Park in some overt ways (there is a Green Monster in left field) and some subtle ways. These subtle ways make the ballpark unique – and also different from Fenway Park or City of Palms Park.
Navigating your way to JetBlue Park is simple. As you make your way down I-75, keep your eyes open for Exit 131. From there, travel east until you see JetBlue Park pop up on your left.
Upon arriving, you won’t have any problem finding a place to park. Even though the parking rate is $10/vehicle – which is one of the highest among spring training facilities – the walk to the stadium is convenient.
