Unforgettable and Romantic Things to do in Florida

Are you looking for creative and romantic things to do with your spouse in Florida? When it comes to romantic things to do in Florida there is no shortage for tourists and residents alike. However, we could all use some guidance in planning in a big state like Florida, so we’ve got plenty of awesome ideas. With its natural and man-made beauty there is no better place in the world for a romantic escape than Florida.
Below are five romantic ideas for when you are in Florida and want something romantic to do.

1. Experience Sunsets in Naples

There are a lot of romantic things to do in Naples. Sunsets in Naples are a special experience, and not just because of their beauty. Sunsets and sunrises are some of the most incredible and beautiful natural occurrences a person can see every day of their life.
They are evening shows that happen on key, glowing ends to activity-filled days, unique experiences that are different each night and free for all to see.
Plan ahead! In Naples, cars on the highway pull off the road and pedestrians stop in their tracks.

2. Go to Lovers Key State Park

When you are looking for something special to do, you can go to this beautiful park. Located in lovely Fort Myers Beach, it’s the perfect place to go and see wildlife such as bald eagles, manatees, gopher tortoises and bottlenose dolphins.

3. Search for Seashells

A great place to look for shells is Honeymoon Island State Park. Found in Dunedin, you are going to find a lot of ways to be romantic with your loved one. It has a pristine shoreline and crystal-clear water. Stroll along the beach, go for a swim or look for shells on the beach.

4. Ruskin Family Drive-in

There aren’t too many of the drive-in theaters left. But if you want to have a romantic experience and cuddle up with your honey, go to Ruskin for this popular attraction. It’s been open since 1952 and it shows blockbuster films and classic movies.

5. Go for a Picnic

Pack up a picnic with lots of delicious food and go to Hillsborough River State Park. This is the perfect place to escape the crowds and have a romantic picnic with your spouse. Found near Tampa, this park has beautiful natural settings and shady areas so that you can enjoy your time together. If you are adventurous, you can also bike, hike, or kayak there, too.

6. Sunrise Horseback Riding

Amelia Island is a great place to go if you and your spouse love horses. This island is one of the few places that you can ride a horse on the coach. Make sure you’re getting up early for this beautiful experience, where you’ll be able to ride along side of your loved one. Then when you are done, you can go on the trolley to tour the area and go shopping!

7. Waterfront Dining in Historic Naples

For your romantic night out, may we suggest waterfront dining at the luxurious Baleen restaurant within La Playa Resort where the Gulf of Mexico is your wingman or the casual elegant vibe at The Turtle Club at Vanderbilt Beach, consistently been voted the top Naples waterfront restaurant. We also are impressed by the trendy Mereday’s within Naples Bay Resort featuring yacht harbor views on both sides of the restaurant.

Final Thoughts

These are just five romantic things that you can do in Florida. Florida’s known for theme parks that kids will love. But Florida also has a lot of romantic things to do for couples. Come to Florida and see what Florida has for lovers. You’ll be surprised at what you find!
