Winter Weather Forecast for Naples Florida

Health Benefits of Visiting Naples Florida

Do you like sunshine? Good! Even though the winter can be a bummer for many living up north, it was great for those of us living in Florida because we had one of our best tourist seasons! For all of us getting ready to start fall, many of us, especially those of you up North are probably wondering: what is winter going to be like this year in Naples Florida?
Well, we did some research for you on some of the preliminary winter predictions and January weather forecasts. Good news, Naples will be sunny, warm and snow-free all winter long in 2015-2016.
According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, this coming winter will be super cold, with below average temperatures. This will especially be true for regions of the United States like the Northeast, the Ohio Valley, the Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and some southwestern states. In contrast, Florida will be incredibly warm, warmer than the rest of the country, with sunny days and snow-free!
The Old Farmer’s Almanac is not the only one making this prediction that this winter will be snow-ridden and incredibly cold again. NOAA, also known as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has recently released their climate prediction diagnostic.
Apparently, El Niño will continue to move through the Northern hemisphere this winter, creating above average precipitation in the central and southern most regions of the country, while precipitation will be below average in most northern regions of this country.
Basically, this phenomenon has the chance of creating extreme differences between cold and warm climates this year, which means once again this winter will be bitterly cold and northern areas particularly inundated with snow.
In contrast, Florida will be very humid, yet warm, with no snow in sight. Here’s what NOAA’s maps are showing in regards to how El Niño will affect the United States this winter.
So, if you love to ski and don’t mind shoveling snow, you will probably love this coming winter. But if you’re tired of those horrid snowy, cold days, or just not looking forward to another harsh winter, you might want to book that trip to Florida, now! If you’re looking for recommendations, Naples was very nice last winter.
It was warm, with temperatures in the 70s and 80s, with very sunny days, no rain and most importantly, no snow! It looks like we will have another winter like that again, so if you want to see what you missed, or if you’re ready to repeat your escape from the cold again, Naples might just be the location for your escape!
